About Sarah Freese (Braat)
Originally from upstate New York, Sarah has lived in Colorado since 2001. She has lived in Steamboat Springs since 2004.
Sarah is passionate about offering healing work and playing outside. She enjoys the many activities of the Yampa Valley, including rafting, hiking with her dogs, camping, water skiing, snowboarding, dirt biking, and soaking in our beautiful hot springs. She also volunteers at the local community gardens and with Community Cultivation as a Colorado Master Gardener. She supports Deep Roots and is a share holder with Grant Family Farms, a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). She loves growing, cooking, and eating local organic food and spending time with her family playing outside!
Sarah is also passionate about traveling, and recently returned from a trip to China, lead by the editor of the Empty Vessel, where she studied Qigong and was inspired by the incredible power of the Wudang Mountains.
Sarah recently married Michael Freese and has changed her name from Sarah Braat to Sarah Freese. Through her marriage, Sarah received an incredible husband and two beautiful children, Dylan and Bella.

Training
I have been practicing massage therapy and energy healing professionally and full time since 2002.
I studied massage at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy (BCMT), in Boulder Colorado. Here, I earned a certificate and an Associates of Occupational Studies Degree in Massage Therapy.
I studied Watsu, aquatic bodywork, at the School of Shiatsu and Massage, in Middletown California.
I studied Qigong Healing, Chinese energy healing, primarily at the Center Place with Damaris Jarboux, in Boulder Colorado, with Richard Leirer, of Taos New Mexico, and with Debra Lin Allen, of Denver, Colorado. I continue to study with all of the above teachers. I have also studied Qigong with James MacRitchie, Michael Lomax, Daisy Lee, Francesco Garripoli, Paul Rischard, Vicky Dello Joio, Solola Towler, Master Gu Shining, and Master Jiang Fei.
I studied Raindrop Technique and Emotional Release Technique with Ruby Gibson, in Evergreen CO.
I also have a BA in Anthropology from Colorado State University.
